Exciting News!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve received the endorsement of the Keizer Chamber of Commerce!

This support is incredibly significant as it represents a solid partnership between our elected leaders and the vibrant business community we have here in Keizer.

Having the backing of our local businesses means that we can work collaboratively towards a shared vision for our community, ultimately driving economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for all residents. When elected leaders and the business community are aligned, we can create effective policies that support entrepreneurship, stimulate job creation, and foster innovation.

This endorsement strengthens our commitment to ensuring that Keizer remains a thriving hub for business while also prioritizing the needs and aspirations of our citizens. Together, we can tackle challenges and seize opportunities that benefit everyone in our community. Thank you to the Keizer Chamber for your trust and support! Let’s continue to build a prosperous and united future for Keizer!

Interview with League of Women Voters

I believe and will fight to maintain the Mission Statement that our city was founded on. “Keeping city government costs and services to a minimum by providing city services to the community in a coordinated, efficient, and least-cost fashion”, it demonstrates a commitment to fiscal responsibility and accountability to taxpayers.

Priorities

Community Safety

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our community in Keizer, Oregon is my top priority. I believe in implementing proactive measures to prevent crime, investing in law enforcement resources to effectively respond to emergencies, and fostering partnerships between the community and local authorities to build trust and collaboration. By prioritizing community policing initiatives, supporting mental health services, and advocating for comprehensive crime prevention programs, we can create a safer and more secure environment for all residents. Together, we can work towards a future where every individual in Keizer feels safe, protected, and empowered to thrive.

Economic Prosperity

I am committed to fostering economic prosperity in Keizer, Oregon by supporting small businesses, attracting new industries, and creating job opportunities for residents. By promoting local entrepreneurship, investing in workforce development programs, and advocating for smart growth initiatives, we can stimulate economic growth and enhance the quality of life for our community. I believe in cultivating a diverse and resilient economy that empowers individuals and businesses to thrive, while also prioritizing sustainability and innovation to ensure long-term success. Together, we can build a vibrant and prosperous future for Keizer, where all residents have the opportunity to succeed and prosper.

Selling Vacant City-owned Property

I propose selling all vacant city-owned properties within the city limits of Keizer, Oregon to put them back on the tax rolls and encourage private investment by local businesses. By freeing up these properties for development, we can spark economic growth, create new job opportunities, and attract investment that will benefit our community as a whole and pay down our PERS liability. This initiative will not only generate revenue for the city but also revitalize neighborhoods, increase property values, and stimulate local business activity. Let’s work together to unlock the potential of our city-owned properties and fuel sustainable economic prosperity in Keizer for years to come.

Buildable land for Keizer families

I am a strong advocate for finding a way to adjust our current urban growth boundary to accommodate more buildable land. Keizer is out of land to build single family homes! This adjustment is essential to address the growing demand for housing options and accommodate the needs of our expanding population. By increasing the inventory of housing in our community, we can create more opportunities for working families to live, work, and thrive in Keizer. This initiative will not only promote economic development but also enhance the quality of life for residents by providing a variety of housing options.

City's Mission Statement

I am committed to upholding and protecting the City of Keizer mission statement. “Keeping city government costs and services to a minimum by providing city services to the community in a coordinated, efficient, and least-cost fashion “. This is not just a fiscal responsibility, but a vital strategy for ensuring the sustainability and success of our city. By prioritizing cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of essential services, we can streamline operations, maximize resources, and provide high-quality services to residents without unnecessary financial burden.

Increasing Visitors and Promoting Keizer

As a candidate for Mayor of Keizer, Oregon, I am passionate about increasing the importance of promoting our city to visitors and residents alike through vibrant local events that showcase the best of what Keizer has to offer. By supporting initiatives such as a local artist art fair, local live theater productions by Keizer Homegrown Theater, the renovation of the Keizer Heritage Museum, local summer concerts in Keizer Rapids Park, and KeizerFest, we can foster a sense of community pride, attract visitors, and boost the local economy.

These events not only celebrate the rich cultural heritage and artistic talent within our community, but also provide unique experiences that can draw tourists, support local businesses, and create a sense of vibrancy and energy in Keizer. By investing in the arts, culture, and community events, we can enhance the quality of life for residents, boost tourism, and create a more attractive and dynamic city for all.

I am so honored to call Lore Christopher a friend and former colleague. I had the privilege of working with Lore on many things throughout the years. I believe that Lore will move us forward in a very positive direction for her next term(s) on Council. I hope that every one of you will VOTE FOR LORE!!!

Bob Zielinski

Scenic Valley Farms, community member

I am very happy Lore Christopher has decided to run for Keizer’s Mayor. Lore spent 3 years as a city councilor and 12 years as our Mayor. During Lori’s time on the council, she has always led with a very clear vision of what she believed the city of Keizer wanted. She kept Keizer’s taxes the lowest of any full-service city in Oregon and insured Keizer continued to have no long-term debt.

Lore believes and follows Keizer’s mission statement which states “Keep city government cost and services to a minimum by providing city services to the community in a coordinated, efficient and least cost fashion.” Following our mission statement Lore was able to build our new city hall, police department, community center, a local dog park, major improvements to the Keizer Rapids Park without any new taxes or service fees and added over 1,200 jobs to our local economy.

Keizer is still facing many challenges and we need a leader who can create a vision to overcome the challenges without raising taxes or service fees and I believe Lore is that person.
